Rosy Dawn is a native San Diegan who has been immersed in music since she was a child. Raised by a single mom who made a point of making sure music was an important element to Rosy's upbringing. Rosy and her mother sang together as a folk duo, blending and creating beautiful harmonies. Ella Fitzgerald, Bessie Smith and Linda Ronstadt were just some of the artist that were frequently played in her home while growing up, contributing to some of Rosy's early influences. Rosy has sung in a variety of Bands and with solo Artists through out San Diego since the early 90's-present. These groups include, The Hybrid Band, Mad Cap Otis, Shawn Rohlf, Desvelis He, The Travel Agents, Plato Soul, Driftwood, Lotus the Band, The Rosy Dawn Quartet and The Hit List. Genres ranging from rock, blues, jazz, folk, bluegrass, R&B and Opera. In addition to singing with various bands through out San Diego, Rosy has also been a recurring member of the San Diego opera chorus since 2004. Rosy has been a guest vocalist on the albums of artist such as Chris Torres, Shawn Rohlf and the Buskers, Radio Memphis and Al Howard and the K23 Orchestra.
Rosy lived abroad in Copenhagen Denmark for two months, performing six nights a week in various clubs located in the the heart of the city.
Rosy graduated in 2007 with a Bachelors Degree of Music in Vocal Performance from San Diego State University. Rosy is the artistic director and founder of Center Stage Children's Theatre, located in Mission Hills. Rosy is a versatile singer who enjoys making people happy through music.
